    • Perfect for special occasions: Sorbet floats are the go to dessert in many restaurants on special occasions like new years eve!
    • Taste of Summer: Relish the season's best with a refreshing sorbet made from juicy, summer peaches.

    🥣Equipment

    • Food processor: The secret to this no-churn sorbet recipe is a food processor. This will cut down the sugar and make a creamy sorbet out of the frozen fruit. Alternatively a stand mixer or hand blender will work.
    • Freezer-Safe Container: Store your sorbet mixture in this container before freezing it until firm.
    • Scoop: Serve up perfectly rounded sorbet portions with ease.
    • Serving glass: Choose your favorite glass to create an elegant presentation for your sorbet float. You can use any kind of serving glass that you are comfortable with people using a spoon in.

    📝The Ingredients

Alright if I say it is super easy and quick then I am not lying! You only need a few ingredients you probably already have.

    • Peaches: To get a super creamy sorbet you need your fruits to be frozen. Plan ahead by slicing your peaches into small pieces and freezing them in a storage bag. freezing them in a storage bag
    • Sugar: This recipe uses white sugar.
    • Lemon juice: The zingy lemon juice will cut trough the sweetness and round up the flavor profile perfectly. Plus it provides liquid for the blending to make it extra smooth.
    • Vodka: Choose a vodka of your preference, ensuring its quality aligns with your taste, as it harmonizes with the sorbet, enriching your experience by adding an enjoyable dimension to each spoonful.

    🍑Booze Alternatives

Expand your creative possibilities by exploring alternative alcohol options to complement your Peach Sorbet Float. While vodka is a splendid choice, consider these equally enticing alternatives to tailor the experience to your palate:

    • Prosecco: Infuse your sorbet float with the lively bubbles of Prosecco, lending a delicate sparkle to each spoonful.
    • Gin: Elevate your dessert with the botanical notes of gin, intertwining harmoniously with the peach sorbet's flavors.
    • Peach Schnapps: Take the peach indulgence a step further with peach schnapps, intensifying the fruitiness and offering a lush, velvety finish.
    • Champagne: Elevate any occasion with the sophistication of champagne, adding a layer of refined luxury to your sorbet float.

Each alternative presents a unique twist, allowing you to tailor your sorbet float to your personal preferences and the occasion at hand. Explore these choices and uncover a symphony of flavors that resonate with you.

🍑Tips for the perfect peach sorbet

With these tips in mind, you're well-equipped to create a peach sorbet that's not only visually appealing but also a gustatory delight.

    • Peak Ripeness: Opt for ripe and fragrant peaches for the best flavor and sweetness in your sorbet.
    • Freeze your fruit properly: Make sure to freeze the peaches until completely firm before making the sorbet. This will ensure that the sorbet gets super creamy. It is best if you pop the fruit into the freezer the night before. Make sure you cut it into small pieces first.
    • Do not overfill: If you have a small food processor work in batches. This step will make it easier to break down the fruit which leads to a smoother sorbet.
    • Add alcohol: If you like your sorbet smooth and creamy you can add a splash of vodka to the sorbet which will prevent the sorbet from freezing entirely.
    • Mindful Sweetness: Adjust sugar quantity based on the sweetness of your peaches, ensuring a well-balanced flavor.
    • Chill the Mix: After blending, refrigerate the mixture for an hour before freezing. This step is optional but helps enhance the sorbet's texture.
    • Easy Scooping: Dip your ice cream scoop or spoon in warm water before scooping to achieve smooth, rounded servings.
    • Texture Boost: Incorporate small fruit chunks during the last moments of blending for a textured surprise in your sorbet.

    🍴Serving suggestions

Elevate your Peach Sorbet Float experience with these easy serving ideas that make every bite special:

    • Minty Twist: Add a fresh touch by putting a sprig of mint on top. It looks pretty and adds a nice smell to your dessert.
    • Extra Fruit: Make it even tastier by placing peach slices on your sorbet. These juicy bites add a yummy contrast to the smoothness of the sorbet.
    • Sweet Drizzle: Drizzle honey or fruit syrup for extra sweetness and a fancy look. It's like adding a golden touch to your treat.
    • Flower Power: Go creative by decorating with edible flowers. They're like tiny bursts of color and flavor that make your sorbet float look and taste amazing.

    🥄Storage

To store the peach sorbet, transfer it into an airtight container and place it in the freezer. It's important to make sure the sorbet is completely covered and sealed to prevent freezer burn. You can store the sorbet in the freezer for up to a month.

Pro tip: Place a parchment paper or cling foil directly on the surface of the sorbet before sealing the container. This prevents ice crystals from forming.

However, it's important to note that once the sorbet is assembled into the float with the vodka and other toppings, it cannot be stored for later consumption. The sorbet will melt and lose its texture, resulting in a watery and unappetizing dessert. So, be sure to only assemble the sorbet float when you're ready to serve and enjoy it right away.

    💭Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I use lemon concentrate instead of lemon juice?

A: If you do not have the time to juice your lemons or do not have lemons around you can use concentrated lemon juice as substitute. The flavor usually will be slightly different but it will still taste great.

    Q: Can I make this sorbet refined-sugar-free?

A: Yes you can! Simply replace the sugar with 3 -4 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey. This will make it a much healthier sorbet too.

Q: Can I replace the peaches with other frozen fruits?

A: Absolutely! Making a sorbet always works the same for different fruits so the sky is the limit!

Q: Can I use any alcohol for sorbet floats?

A: Really any alcohol works yes. Vodka is a classic but you should definitely try using champagne or prosecco too. It will make this dessert a sweet bubbly sensation.

Q: Can I make this sorbet float alcohol free?

A: To make this a virgin float you can replace the vodka with sparkling soda. A flavored soda will give this dish some more flavor.

Q: Can I use an ice cream maker for this recipe?

A: If you have one you can absolutely use an ice cream maker for this sorbet recipe!

    Instructions

    Make the sorbet

    • In a food processor, combine the frozen peach slices and sugar. Pulse until the mixture transforms into a smooth and creamy sorbet base.
      400 g Frozen Peaches, 100 g White Sugar
    • Incorporate the fresh lemon juice into the sorbet mixture. Start with half a tablespoon, adjusting according to your taste preference. The lemon juice not only adds zing but also contributes to a flawlessly smooth texture.
      ½ tbsp. Lemon Juice
    • Transfer the sorbet mixture into a freezer-safe container. Allow it to rest in the freezer for at least 3-6 hours or until it reaches a firm yet still slushy consistency. This ensures the sorbet is perfect for scooping and assembling the float.

    Assemble

    • Remove the sorbet from the freezer and allow it to soften for about 5 minutes at room temperature. This step ensures that the sorbet is easy to scoop and enjoy.
    • Using an ice cream scoop, shape 1-2 scoops of the peach sorbet and place them gently into your chosen glassware.
    • Pour in the high-quality vodka – choose one that resonates with your taste – allowing it to elegantly mingle with the sorbet's fruity essence.
      1 dl Vodka
