Learn how to make this super easy raspberry simple syrup using only 3 ingredients. It only takes minutes to prepare and is super veritable. Use it in drinks, over waffles, in your cakes and much more.
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and fresh raspberries.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer until the sugar fully dissolves and the raspberries soften, breaking apart easily. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Once the mixture has cooked down and the raspberries have released their juices, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool.
Using a fine mesh sieve set over a clean glass bottle or jar, carefully strain the syrup, pressing down on the raspberries with a spatula or spoon to extract all the flavorful juices.
Tightly seal the bottle or jar and keep in the fridge.
