Equipment

  • 1 Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 125 g raspberries

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and fresh raspberries.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer until the sugar fully dissolves and the raspberries soften, breaking apart easily. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the mixture has cooked down and the raspberries have released their juices, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool.
  • Using a fine mesh sieve set over a clean glass bottle or jar, carefully strain the syrup, pressing down on the raspberries with a spatula or spoon to extract all the flavorful juices.
  • Tightly seal the bottle or jar and keep in the fridge.
