This is my favorite Egg Salad on Toast Recipe ever! It is super easy to make and uses only a few ingredients that you normally have at home already. This dish is perfect as a snack, lunch, dinner or a starter when you have guests over.
To the same bowl bowl add the mayonnaise, salt and pepper and mix gently with a spoon. If you want to use onions you would add them in this step.
4-5 tablespoon Mayonnaise, Salt and Pepper, Onion
Taste the egg salad and use more seasoning if needed.
Assemble the toast
Toast your toast in the toaster or a toaster oven.

Spread butter on top of the toasted toast.

Spoon the egg salad on top of the toast and fill all the way to the edge.
Immediately serve or keep in the fridge for a short time till you serve.
Notes
Make ahead / storageYou can easily make the egg salad ahead of time and keep in the fridge. Make sure you keep it in a closed container. Then assemble shortly before you will serve it / the guests arrive. You can assemble the toast beforehand and keep it ready in the fridge if you want. However, the longer you let it sit the more the toast will get soaked and turn lumpy.
