This easy Graveyard Chocolate Mousse recipe is the perfect addition to your Halloween menu. Super rich, decadent and silky-smooth chocolate mousse which is topped with graveyard dirt made out of Oreos and decorated with a cookie gravestone. There is no baking involved and only easily available ingredients are used.
100gChocolateDark, milk, white or semi-sweet works fine (plus more for piping)
2dlWhipped Cream
1packageOreos
1batchShortbread Cookie

Instructions
Prepare the mousse
Separate egg yolks and whites into different bowls.
2 Eggs
Whip egg whites until stiff. Add half the amount of sugar and whip until glossy. Set aside.
2 Tbsp. Sugar
Whisk the remaining sugar into egg yolks until bubbly and bright yellow.
Melt chocolate and let it cool slightly. Mix with egg yolk sugar mixture.
100 g Chocolate
Now whip the whipping cream until stiff. Gently fold cream and egg whites into the chocolate mixture until incorporated.
2 dl Whipped Cream
Transfer the mixture to preferred dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Prepare the cookie
Roll out your shortbread cookie dough and cut out graveyard shapes. Either do that free handed or draw one on paper and cut it out, The paper graveyard then works as a template.
1 batch Shortbread Cookie
Bake the cookies after the instructions and let them cool off.
Melt chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave. Use a piping bag to write RIP or desired inscriptions on the cookies. This is optional but makes it perfect for Halloween.
Assemble and Serve
Remove your chocolate mousse from the fridge.
Separate the Oreos, keeping the cookies, and crush them in a zip lock bag using your hand or a rolling pin. You may eat the white filling.

Place the crushed Oreo cookies on top of the mousse, insert a gravestone cookie, and serve immediately.
